Shawano County law enforcement stayed busy Tuesday with nearly 60 calls for service, ranging from traffic stops to animal complaints and several 911 emergencies.
The day began early with a property‑damage crash on Highway 29 near the Exit 227 ramp, reported just before 3 a.m.
Multiple disabled vehicles were reported throughout the morning, including a GMC Sierra that ran out of gas somewhere between Tigerton and Marion. Deputies also handled a vehicle with no plates that appeared to have been in an accident and required towing.
Traffic enforcement dominated much of the day, with stops logged across Highways 22, 45, 47, and 55. Several drivers received warnings for speeding or insurance issues, while one motorist was cited for criminal operating after revocation and speeding 69 in a 55.
Animal‑related calls also kept deputies moving. Three calves were reported loose near Weasel Dam Road, and later in the morning, a caller reported hitting an injured hawk on Highway 29. In a more serious case, two dogs were accused of killing a neighbor’s cat on Pioneer Drive.
Deputies also responded to trespassing complaints, including one involving neighbors allegedly driving across a property line and another where a caller claimed someone was inside a trailer who wasn’t supposed to be there.
Several 911 calls came in throughout the afternoon — including a cell‑phone crash notification near Wittenberg and a call involving a man “rambling and not making much sense,” according to dispatch notes.
And finally, officers assisted with courthouse security and transported an inmate from the Menominee Tribal Jail to Shawano County.
In all, 59 incidents were logged by the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office and one additional traffic stop handled by Stockbridge‑Munsee Police.
Clintonville Police stayed busy Tuesday, responding to a variety of calls throughout the city. The day began with parking enforcement on 8th Street and extra patrols at Pickerel Point Playground and Picnic Point. Officers also investigated a fraud complaint on Industrial Avenue and provided assistance to a business and several citizens on South Main Street.
Police responded to multiple suspicious activity calls, including reports on South Main Street and Wilson Street, along with a utility problem on Franklin Street. Officers also handled animal complaints near North 12th and Hemlock Streets and later on Olen Park Road.
During the evening, officers answered two separate 911 calls on Memorial Circle and East 14th Street, conducted a traffic stop on South Main Street, performed a business check on County Highway I, and continued extra patrols in several neighborhoods.

The evening also included a reckless driving complaint near Dollar Tree, numerous traffic stops throughout the city, and a late-night park violation at Kuckuk Park. Early this morning, officers responded to a weapons complaint on East Green Bay Street. The investigation remains active. Overall, Shawano Police logged dozens of calls for service during the 24-hour reporting period.
