Shawano Police stayed busy Thursday, responding to a wide variety of calls across the city. Officers investigated two separate disturbance reports, including an overnight domestic-related incident on West Picnic Street and an afternoon complaint on Madison Way involving a report that a roommate had displayed a knife. Police also responded to a two-vehicle property damage crash at Green Bay Street and Eberlein Park Drive, where no injuries were reported. Other calls included a suspicious vehicle, a report of vandalized property on South Smalley Street, several abandoned 911 calls, welfare checks, and assistance to fire and EMS crews. Officers also handled a hit-and-run investigation near Franklin Park, where a parked vehicle was reportedly struck, and reunited a loose husky with the Humane Society after the dog was found roaming on the city’s west side.
Clintonville Police responded to a variety of calls throughout Thursday, including an early morning OWI arrest near North 12th and West 14th Streets. Officers also investigated a reported theft on South Main Street and a suspicious incident near South Main Street and Campus Drive. Emergency responders were called to a fire on South Main Street during the afternoon, while police also handled a threatening complaint on Memorial Circle and assisted other agencies on calls along Maize Street and West Morning Glory Drive.
The day’s activity also included multiple welfare checks, citizen assists, extra patrols, a report of a stray animal on East 12th Street, and several lost-and-found calls. Officers wrapped up the evening with a traffic stop near 9th Street and South Clinton Avenue before conducting additional extra patrols around Memorial Circle.
Shawano County authorities responded to nearly 50 incidents over the course of July 23rd, ranging from routine traffic stops to drug offenses, welfare checks, and several unusual calls.
Deputies handled a drug-related incident just after 1 a.m. on Moh He Con Nuck Road, after what was first reported as a traffic stop was updated to a narcotics case. According to the report, the nature was “changed from Traffic Stop to Drugs.”
Around 2:20 a.m., officers conducted a welfare check involving a juvenile. The deputy noted they were “out with a kid” and later transported the juvenile to the sheriff’s office “to figure some stuff out.”
A series of traffic hazards kept deputies busy throughout the day, including multiple reports of barrels in the roadway and deteriorating pavement on Highway 29. One entry simply stated: “BARREL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.”
A mid‑day call to Hayman Falls involved a report of lewd and lascivious behavior, where two individuals were allegedly “having sex… in the wide open by the waterfall,” according to the complainant.
Deputies also responded to harassment at the Bonduel Kwik Trip, where a man was reportedly bothering employees and camping in the parking lot. Staff requested he be trespassed from the property.
Other calls included trespassing, a juvenile runaway, utility issues, and an animal complaint involving neighbors’ dogs chasing wildlife on Red River Road.
The Stockbridge‑Munsee Police Department logged two incidents of its own: a trespassing complaint on Poplar Street and a traffic hazard on County Road A.
