Clintonville Police stayed busy on Tuesday, July 22nd, responding to a variety of calls throughout the city.
The day began with traffic enforcement, including multiple traffic stops on South Main Street, West Campus Drive, Anne Street, and East 12th Street, along with an extra patrol on North Main Street during the morning hours.
Officers also responded to a neighborhood dispute on Harrison Avenue, assisted with a vehicle lockout on East 12th Street, and investigated a motor vehicle crash on West Madison Street.
Later in the evening, police answered a 911 call on Memorial Circle and responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on North Main Street before conducting another extra patrol in the area.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to 68 calls for service on Tuesday, keeping deputies busy with traffic enforcement, emergency response, and a variety of public safety calls throughout the county.
The day was marked by numerous traffic stops across Highways 29, 45, 47 and surrounding county roads as deputies focused on roadway safety. Deputies also responded to several traffic hazards, including a tree partially blocking County Highway GG near Tigerton, an oversized load on Highway 29 that required assistance, and reports of debris in the roadway.
Emergency crews were dispatched to a fatal traffic crash shortly after 9:20 Tuesday morning in the area of Hillcrest Lane and West Lake Crest Drive. The crash remains under investigation.
Other notable incidents included the reported theft of more than $7,600 from cryptocurrency accounts at a Clintonville residence, a vehicle fire along Highway 29 near County Highway F, a property damage complaint, a disorderly conduct incident, and multiple welfare checks.
Deputies also assisted firefighters and EMS crews on several medical and fire-related calls, responded to reports of reckless driving, trespassing, juvenile and civil complaints, and provided courthouse security in Shawano.
Shawano Police officers remained busy throughout the day Wednesday, responding to a wide variety of calls across the city. The activity log included numerous traffic stops from the early morning through late evening, with officers issuing warnings and citations for speeding, equipment violations, and other traffic offenses.
Police also responded to several welfare checks, including one involving unattended children near the Memorial Park splash pad and another after a report of an open residence that appeared suspicious. Officers investigated a hit-and-run crash in the Walmart parking lot, recovered a found e-bike near the railroad tracks by Divine Savior, handled an abandoned 911 call, assisted with a vehicle lockout, and responded to a report involving a cat bite.
The evening concluded with officers responding to a domestic disturbance on South Lincoln Street, followed by another disturbance report shortly after midnight. Police also assisted emergency medical services on multiple calls throughout the day.
