NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – Shiocton’s Brett Singler has been recognized as one of Wisconsin’s premier defensive linemen in the latest Bound Wisconsin Class of 2027 Player Rankings, highlighting another impressive honor for one of the area’s top football recruits.
Singler was ranked third overall in the state among defensive linemen after a dominant junior season in which he showcased his ability on both sides of the football. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound standout recorded 67 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and three sacks while earning First Team All-Conference honors on defense. Offensively, he also excelled at tight end, hauling in 46 receptions for 535 yards and seven touchdowns.
Already committed to the University of Wyoming, Singler is viewed as one of the state’s most versatile prospects, with the size and athleticism to play multiple positions at the collegiate level.
Leading the statewide rankings is Richie Flanigan of Green Bay Notre Dame, who claimed the No. 1 spot after earning WFCA Large School All-State honors on both offense and defense last season. Flanigan finished his junior campaign with 42 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and four sacks before committing to play for the University of Notre Dame.
Several other Northeast Wisconsin players also received recognition in the rankings.
Among the publication’s “Others to Watch” were Isaac Feske of Seymour, Dominic Treichel of Oconto Falls, and Sawyer Vande Hey of Wrightstown, each recognized as emerging defensive line prospects entering the 2026 football season.
