BONDUEL, WI – The Navarino Rangers are champions of the 47th Annual Bonduel Broncos Invitational Baseball Tournament after edging the host Bonduel Broncos 4-3 in a thrilling championship game Friday night at Jack Reinke Field.
The Rangers broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning when Nick Dagneau led off with a single and eventually crossed the plate on a Ryan Niles fielder’s choice, providing the game-winning run.
Navarino’s pitching was equally impressive as Ryan Boettcher came on in relief and delivered 6 2/3 innings to earn the victory, shutting down the Broncos’ offense over the final innings to preserve the championship.
Offensively, the Rangers received balanced production throughout the lineup. Owen Weber, Ryan Boettcher, Nick Dagneau, Braylon Krull, and Bailey Dingeldein each recorded multiple hits to fuel Navarino’s attack.
Following the victory, tournament organizers awarded the Most Valuable Player honor to the entire Navarino Rangers team,
