Fatal Motorcycle Crash Reported in Oconto County

TOWN OF CHASE, WI- A 39-year-old man from Escanaba, Michigan was killed Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Oconto County. The Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Highway S and Schwartz Road in the Town of Chase when a truck pulled into the intersection and was struck by an eastbound motorcycle. The motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in the crash, while the driver of the truck, a 48-year-old Oconto Falls man, and his 25-year-old passenger were treated at the scene and released. The crash remains under investigation by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office. Authorities have not released any additional information as the investigation continues.
