NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – State Rep. Kevin Petersen has announced his endorsement of Kevin Krentz in the Republican primary for Wisconsin’s 57th Assembly District, saying Krentz’s experience and conservative values make him the right choice to succeed him in the State Assembly.
Petersen, who announced earlier this year that he will not seek reelection after serving in the Assembly since 2006, praised Krentz’s background in agriculture, business, and local government.
Krentz said his campaign will focus on reducing property taxes, limiting the size of state government, and supporting Wisconsin’s working families and small businesses.
Krentz brings extensive leadership experience to the race. He previously served as president of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation from 2020 to 2023 and as president of the Rural Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors from 2020 to 2024. He has also served on the American Farm Bureau Federation Board, the UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Board of Visitors, and the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection’s Agricultural Export Advisory Council.
At the local level, Krentz served on the Aurora Town Board for 10 years, including four years as town chairman from 2010 to 2014.
In addition to Petersen’s endorsement, Krentz has also received endorsements from Wisconsin Family Action PAC, Jon Wilcox, Don Nelson, and several local elected officials and community leaders as he campaigns for the Republican nomination in the 57th Assembly District.
