NORTHEAST WI- Several high school quarterbacks from Northeast Wisconsin have earned recognition as some of the state’s top returning signal callers heading into the 2026 football season.
Leading the area contingent is Ashton Van Beek of Neenah, who was ranked fifth in the state. The Fox Valley Association Offensive Player of the Year rushed for 1,416 yards and 18 touchdowns while adding 828 passing yards and nine touchdown passes. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound standout has already committed to North Dakota State, where he is expected to play linebacker.
Among the state’s “Others to Watch” is Quinn Wesenberg of Bonduel, giving Shawano County football fans a familiar name to follow this fall. Wesenberg enters the season as one of Wisconsin’s emerging quarterback prospects.
Several other nearby quarterbacks also earned recognition, including Nathaniel White of Oconto Falls, Harrison Selk of Green Bay Preble, Eli Derenne of Luxemburg-Casco, Connor Navis of Appleton West, Paul Schmoliinske of Menasha, AJ Pheifer of Hortonville, Jaden Hermsen of Little Chute, Augie Eigenberger of Plymouth, and Cooper Albrecht of Wabeno/Laona.
