Shawano Police had a busy Monday, responding to a wide variety of calls across the city. Officers investigated a suspicious person complaint overnight on South Lafayette Street after a resident reported a man repeatedly triggering motion-activated cameras and standing in a nearby yard. Police also handled several medical emergencies, including ambulance assists on Oak Court and South Humphrey Circle.
During the afternoon, officers responded to Memorial Park for reports of an individual allegedly offering rides to people in the park. The person was not located after officers searched the area. Police also investigated a reported restraining order violation involving a resident at Birch Hill Care Center and took a report of a hit-and-run crash in the Jimmy John’s parking lot on East Green Bay Street.
The evening brought additional calls, including a theft report at Walmart, a suspected OWI investigation near Pulaski, a vehicle striking a building in Cecil, and a disturbance on South Washington Street. Officers also responded to numerous traffic stops, property damage complaints, and other routine service calls throughout the day.
Clintonville Police stayed busy Monday with a mix of patrol activity and investigations throughout the city.
Officers conducted overnight business checks at several locations, followed by extra patrols and a lost-and-found call on South Main Street. Police also responded to suspicious activity on Anne Street early in the morning and later served a warrant on South Main Street.
During the day, officers investigated two separate theft reports, one on South Main Street and another late Monday night on West Madison Street. Police also assisted another agency, conducted an escort, and checked on a suspicious complaint on West Morning Glory Drive.
As the evening progressed, officers maintained a visible presence with foot patrols around Memorial Circle and East Morning Glory Drive, completed several traffic stops on North 12th Street and South Main Street, performed a welfare check, and wrapped up the day by investigating a suspicious person complaint on South Main Street just before midnight.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to more than 50 incidents across the county Monday, including multiple impaired driving arrests, traffic complaints, and a search for a missing person.
Deputies arrested two drivers on suspected OWI offenses during the early morning hours, one near Highway 22 and Cheese Factory Road and another at the intersection of County Highways A and G in the Gresham area. Later in the day, another OWI investigation was launched on County Highway C near Pulaski.
Other calls included reports of reckless driving near Wittenberg and Bonduel, a hazardous materials spill at the Remington Oil location on Highway 45 after a vehicle reportedly drove away with a fuel line attached, and a non-reportable traffic crash near Dairy Cove in Cecil. Deputies also responded to several animal-related complaints, including reports of an injured bald eagle, aggressive dogs in Pulaski, and a stray dog near Bonduel.
During the evening, deputies investigated a missing person report near Rocky Ridge Lane in the Town of Belle Plaine. A K-9 unit was later called in to assist with the search. Additional calls included a reported restraining order violation, a custodial interference complaint near Clintonville, welfare checks, and a vehicle-versus-building crash in Cecil.
