BONDUEL, WI – The 47th Annual Bonduel Broncos Invitational Tournament got underway Monday night with the host Bonduel Broncos and the Shawano Lobos each opening pool play with victories.
In Pool A, the Bonduel Broncos defeated Nichols Nitros Baseball to earn an early advantage in the race for a spot in Friday night’s championship game.
Over in Pool B, the Shawano Lobos picked up a win over the Hofa Park Panthers, putting the Lobos atop the pool after the opening night of competition.
Tournament action continues Tuesday with another doubleheader at Bonduel. The Navarino Rangers will face the Hofa Park Panthers in a Pool B matchup beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by Nichols Nitros Baseball taking on the Cecil Mudhens at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Pool play wraps up Wednesday night when the Bonduel Broncos battle the Cecil Mudhens at 6:30 p.m. The nightcap will feature the Navarino Rangers taking on the Shawano Lobos in another key Pool B contest.
The winners of Pool A and Pool B will advance to the tournament championship game on Friday, July 10, at 7 p.m. The championship night will also feature the annual Bronco Bucks Inning Raffle, adding to one of the area’s longest-running summer baseball traditions.
