OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI – A new all-inclusive admission model helped make this year’s Outagamie County Fair a success, according to Fair Manager Brian Stille.
Stille said the goal was to simplify the fair experience by giving visitors access to nearly everything with a single admission price.
“Pay one price and then you pick what is important to you, whether it’s the carnival, the grandstand or anything else,” Stille said.
The new pricing included carnival rides, grandstand entertainment, livestock barns, exhibits, vendors, family activities, and parking for one admission fee. Children ages 3 and younger continued to receive free admission, although carnival ride height restrictions still applied.
Stille said fair officials researched pricing models used by other county fairs before deciding to adopt the simplified system.
Overall, he says the response from fairgoers was overwhelmingly positive, with families appreciating the convenience and value of paying one price to enjoy the attractions that interested them most.
