SHAWANO, WI- Construction continues to move forward on Shawano Community High School’s new athletic complex, marking a major upgrade from the school’s 27-year-old athletic field.
Crews have completed installation of the new artificial turf field, which district officials say will provide a safe and cost-effective playing surface for years to come.
The renovation also includes new bleachers, a new press box and the relocation of the track from Shawano Community Middle School to the high school campus. The track has been installed, and work is continuing on additional structures around the complex.
With the field now in place and construction progressing, the project continues to take shape as part of the district’s broader facilities improvements. Officials say the upgrades will enhance the experience for student-athletes, performers and fans while providing a modern venue for school and community events.
