GILLETT, WI – The Gillett Civic Club is reminding residents and visitors that this year’s Fourth of July Parade will follow a revised route due to the ongoing Wisconsin Highway 22 construction project through the city.
Organizers say the annual Independence Day parade will begin near Honey Park on the back side of Zippel Park before proceeding along East Washington Street, East Main Street, and Richmond Street.
The route changes were necessary to accommodate road closures and construction activity associated with the Highway 22 reconstruction project. Community members planning to attend are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new route and arrive early to secure viewing locations.
Despite the adjustments, organizers say parade-goers can still expect the same patriotic atmosphere, community pride, and family-friendly celebration that have made the event a local tradition.
