BEAVER DAM, WI – Some of Wisconsin’s top high school basketball programs will head to Beaver Dam next week for the inaugural Bound Wisconsin Summer Shootout, but local fans will have plenty of reason to keep an eye on Hortonville and Clintonville as both programs take part in the 64-team event.
The two-day tournament will feature 32 boys varsity teams on June 24 and 32 girls varsity teams on June 25, providing an early look at teams and players preparing for the 2026-27 season.
Hortonville enters the tournament looking to continue building toward next winter behind a group led by senior Jaden Van Handel. The Polar Bears are placed in Pool C alongside Brown Deer, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, and Marshall. Van Handel averaged 6.9 points per game last season and will be one of the veteran leaders for Hortonville. Senior guard Noah Rindt and sophomore Blake Przybylski are also expected to play key roles as the Polar Bears gain valuable summer experience against strong competition.
Clintonville will compete in Pool H and face a challenging field that includes Albany/Monticello, Boscobel, and Dodgeland. The Truckers will be led by senior Oliver Howe and junior Landon Loose as the program looks to take another step forward.
