Shawano Police handled a busy Sunday, responding to more than two dozen calls across the city.
It started just after midnight with a traffic stop on South Lincoln Street… followed an hour later by a vandalism complaint at Four Seasons, where callers reported members of a wedding party climbing over a desk and breaking a computer.
Officers also assisted with several vehicle lockouts throughout the morning, and checked on an open 911 call traced to the Dollar Tree—turning out to be a pocket dial.
Around 11 a.m., police investigated a possible gas spill at Green Bay Street and Airport Drive, but officers determined it was only water. Minutes later, they were called to Madison Way for reports of a black Nissan 350Z revving its engine and driving recklessly through an apartment complex.
The afternoon brought more welfare checks, a stray dog found near Stubborn Brothers Brewery, and a reckless‑driving complaint involving a green Ford truck whose driver allegedly flipped off a resident.
In the evening, officers responded to two separate animal complaints involving unleashed dogs—one attacking another dog, and another chasing a neighbor.
The day wrapped up with a threatening complaint at Pizza Hut, where a delivery driver reported being confronted and told, “Just wait till I find your house.”
Clintonville Police logged a steady series of calls Sunday, starting early in the morning with multiple business checks along South Main Street and County Highway I between 3 and 4 a.m.
Officers also conducted extra patrols on 7th Street and North Main as the sun came up. Around 8:30, police responded to an animal bite on South Main Street.
Late morning brought foot patrol on Hemlock Street, followed by a traffic stop near North 12th and West 13th. Just after 2:30 p.m., officers were called to Flora Way for a disorderly conduct complaint.
A suspicious vehicle was reported on Wilson Street around 3 p.m., and officers assisted a citizen on 7th Street shortly after. Parking enforcement was handled on Memorial Circle, and a welfare check was conducted on West 14th Street around 4:40.
The evening included more citizen assistance on Stewart Street, an agency assist on South Clinton Avenue, and paper service on East Madison Street.
Just before 10 p.m., officers responded with EMS to a medical call on West Morning Glory Drive, and the day wrapped with another extra patrol on Memorial Circle.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled 33 incidents across the county on Saturday, June 21st, keeping deputies busy with traffic crashes, emergency calls, and public safety concerns.
Among the more serious incidents, deputies responded to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash at Shawano County Park on Lake Drive. According to the report, a person walking a dog near the boat landing was reportedly struck by a pickup truck backing a boat trailer into the water. The victim complained of a shoulder injury.
Deputies also investigated multiple traffic crashes throughout the day, including a vehicle in a ditch on Navarino Road near Shiocton with airbags deployed, a car-versus-school bus collision at the intersection of County Highways T and B near Cecil with no reported injuries, and a hit-and-run complaint involving a parked vehicle at a lakeside cabin property.
Traffic safety remained a concern. Sheriff’s deputies received reckless driving complaints near Shawano Lake and on Highway 29 near Pulaski, including reports of speeding and illegal passing.
Other calls included several 911 hang-up and abandoned calls, welfare checks, a loose German shepherd reportedly chasing people near Old Keshena Road, a juvenile complaint involving dirt bikes in the Bowler area, and lockout assists in Birnamwood, Aniwa, and at Ho-Chunk Gaming in Wittenberg.
