SHAWANO, WI – The Shawano School Board is scheduled to review and consider approval of the district’s preliminary 2026-27 budget during its regular meeting Monday evening.
The meeting is set to begin at 5 p.m. in the District Office Community Room located at 1310 South Union Street.
Board members are expected to enter closed session at the start of the meeting to discuss personnel matters as permitted under Wisconsin’s Open Meetings Law. Following the closed session, the board will reconvene in open session to conduct the remainder of its business.
One of the most significant items on the agenda is the preliminary budget for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. Board members will review budget documents and supporting materials before considering action on the proposal.
In addition to the budget discussion, the board is scheduled to consider approval of the district’s annual contract with CESA 8, review the district’s commercial insurance coverage, and discuss a proposal to adjust school meal prices for the upcoming school year.
