Shawano Police logged more than two dozen calls in all Wednesday, starting just after midnight with a suspicious vehicle reported on Lange Court. Officers cleared the scene a short time later.
A traffic stop on East Green Bay Street followed around 2:20 a.m., with the driver cited for missing registration and proof of insurance.
Later in the morning, officers and EMS responded to multiple medical calls, including one at an East Division Street apartment where crews arrived within minutes.
Two people were picked up on warrants—one on Military Road and another near Hamlin and Seward Streets.
Police also investigated criminal damage on South Sawyer Street after a resident reported someone had pulled out newly surveyed property stakes.
In the afternoon, officers responded to shoplifting at Mimi’s Closet on Airport Drive after a girl reportedly “walked out with a bunch of crystals.”
Several welfare checks were conducted throughout the day, including one at Walmart for a man “rocking back and forth,” and another at Culver’s involving an elderly man without pants.
The evening brought a disturbance at Aspen Court and a personal‑injury crash at Green Bay Street and Airport Drive, drawing multiple police and EMS units.
Just after midnight, officers handled an intoxicated person on Richmond Street and another disturbance at Aspen Court where a caller reported “someone kicked in the door of another apartment.”
Clintonville Police handled a steady mix of calls throughout the day Wednesday. The first came just after midnight with an alarm on West Green Tree Road, followed by an agency assist at 6th and Stewart around 2 a.m.
Officers conducted extra patrol on North Main Street at 6 a.m., and later in the morning responded to an agency assist on South Clinton Avenue. Shortly after 11, police handled an escort and an alarm on South Main Street.
Just after noon, officers were called twice for ordinance violations on 8th Street. A welfare check followed mid‑afternoon on South Main Street.
Throughout the afternoon, officers served several paper service notices on Hemlock Street, Industrial Avenue, and Paulina Street. A suspicious vehicle was reported on North 12th Street at 5:34 p.m., and a lockout was handled on West Street just before 8 p.m.
At 10 p.m., officers conducted extra patrol on Memorial Circle. Late in the night, an ambulance call came from North Clinton Avenue, and the day wrapped up with a 911 call from South Main Street just before Midnight.
Shawano County Sheriff’s Department handled a wide range of calls Wednesday, beginning before dawn with firefighters responding to a call on County Road N in Birnamwood.
A short time later, deputies investigated a shoplifting incident at True North Energy in Wittenberg. The report lists a suspect and notes the call originating from the store’s business line.
Just before 6 a.m., deputies checked on a suspicious vehicle near Highway 32 and County E after a caller reported a woman appearing intoxicated. Minutes later, another driver reported a disabled red minivan parked along Highway 29, saying it had been there “since Sunday night.”
By midmorning, deputies were dealing with a series of animal-related calls, including a report of a “baby horse running around… in the roadway” on Lakeview Road, and a welfare check for a dog chained outside with no visible shelter.
In Tigerton, village officials served legal papers to a resident at the wastewater treatment plant, while deputies elsewhere investigated reckless driving, littering, and a lockout for a worker who left her keys inside her car.
Deputies later responded to a traffic hazard on County Road A and another disabled vehicle on Highway 29 near Porter Road.
In all, Shawano County deputies logged dozens of calls, ranging from routine assists to more urgent public‑safety concerns.
