SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Police Department partnered with a local Pizza Hut on Tuesday to host a community outreach event called “Sirens and Slices.”
Residents were invited to meet local law enforcement officers, explore emergency vehicles, and enjoy free pizza while learning more about the agencies that serve the community.
“It’s about building community trust and building partnerships with the businesses in our community,” Officer Brandi Hoffman said. “Pizza Hut is a supporter of our community and especially our school district.”
The event was designed to build positive relationships between officers and community members by creating opportunities for conversation and helping residents become more familiar with the people who wear the badge.
Kids were all given a free personal pan pizza and breadsticks.
