OCONTO AND OUTAGAMIE COUNTIES, WI – Motorists traveling through Oconto and Outagamie counties should continue to expect delays as major highway construction projects remain underway this week.
In Oconto County, the reconstruction project on Highway 22 through Gillett continues to move forward. Crews are currently installing storm sewer infrastructure, performing grading work, and reconstructing portions of the roadway as part of the extensive improvement project.
Drivers should also be aware that the intersection of Finnegan Lake Road and Highway 22 will experience temporary closures as construction progresses. The Highway 22 corridor through Gillett remains closed to through traffic while work is being completed.
Meanwhile, in Outagamie County, rehabilitation work continues on Highway 96 in Grand Chute between Casaloma Drive and North Badger Avenue.
Construction crews are completing roadway and infrastructure improvements along the corridor, with lane restrictions remaining in place throughout the project area. Motorists can expect reduced speeds, changing traffic patterns, and periodic delays while work continues.
