@ Seymour – Crystal Springs Golf Course
Winneconne and Xavier punched their tickets to the WIAA Division 2 State Boys Golf Tournament after finishing first and second, respectively, at the Seymour Sectional on Tuesday at Crystal Springs Golf Course. Winneconne won the team title with a score of 313, edging Xavier by two strokes at 315. Seymour narrowly missed a state berth, finishing third with a team score of 320 despite strong rounds from Vince Sigl and Owen Sigl, who shot 75 and 78.
The three individual state qualifiers not on advancing teams were Seymour senior Vince Sigl, who tied for third overall with a 75, Seymour’s Owen Sigl and Seymour’s Tristan Drath.

Shiocton’s Owen Reese Headed To University Ridge
Shiocton freshman Owen Reese earned a trip to the WIAA Division 3 State Boys Golf Tournament after a strong performance at the Crandon Sectional held at Antigo Bass Lake Country Club. Reese fired a 75 to finish third overall, securing one of the three individual state qualifying spots not claimed by members of the advancing teams. Three Lakes/Phelps won the sectional title with a team score of 335, while Mishicot claimed the second state berth with a 342.
Reese’s round trailed only medalist Evan MacCaux of Kewaunee, who shot a 73, and Crandon’s Reid Votis, who carded a 74.
