Shawano’s season came to an end Thursday with a 5-1 loss to Luxemburg-Casco in a WIAA Division 2 playoff matchup. The Spartans broke a scoreless tie with a run in the third inning before putting the game away with a four-run fourth. Shawano managed six hits, led by Anderson Schmidt, who doubled and finished with three total bases, while Ayden Bystol and T.J. Johnson also collected hits. The Hawks avoided the shutout with a run in the seventh inning, but could get no closer. Shawano finishes the season after a strong late-season push that included wins in seven of its final ten regular-season game.

Denmark advanced in the WIAA Division 2 playoffs with a dominant 10-0 victory over Clintonville on Thursday. The Vikings scored in every inning through the sixth and finished with eight hits while taking advantage of eight walks to pull away. Caden Kersten paced the offense with three hits and an RBI, while Jaxsen Pinchart added two hits and two runs scored. On the mound, Cade Delarwelle struck out six over five scoreless innings as Denmark limited the Truckers to just two hits. The win improves Denmark to 17-9 and sends the Vikings into the next round of postseason play.

Antigo’s season came to an end Thursday with a narrow 3-2 loss to Medford in a WIAA Division 2 playoff matchup. The Red Robins jumped out to an early 2-1 lead with runs in the first and second innings, but Medford answered with single runs in the fourth and fifth to take the lead for good. Antigo collected five hits, with Boden Kuenzli scoring a run and Marcus Washatko driving in another. Senior pitcher Tate Unsinn turned in a strong performance, allowing just three runs, two earned, over six innings. The loss closes the season for Antigo at 3-16, while Medford advances in the postseason.

The Wolverines took control early with three runs in the first inning and never looked back, adding four more in the third on their way to the victory. Crivitz finished with 11 hits, led by Colton Arpke, who went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. On the mound, Jackson Schramm and Arpke combined on a no-hitter, striking out 13 Hornet batters. Gillett/Suring closes the season with a 3-16 record, while Crivitz advances to the next round of the postseason.
