SHAWANO COUNTY, WI- The Shawano County Highway Department has announced upcoming road work on County Highway M beginning Monday, June 1.
Crews will be prepping and paving CTH M from State Highway 29 to just west of Maple Avenue. Work is scheduled to continue through Thursday, June 18.
According to the Highway Department, the roadway will be closed daily while crews are working, with a signed detour route in place for motorists. Officials noted the road will not be completely closed and will remain accessible to emergency vehicles throughout the project.
School buses will also be allowed through the work zone, although drivers are being reminded to use caution and yield to highway crews working in the area.
The closure and detour will be set up each morning work is taking place and removed each evening once crews are finished for the day.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, expect delays, and use caution when traveling near the construction zone.
