GREEN BAY, WI – Shawano saw its postseason run come to an end Wednesday with an 8-2 loss to Notre Dame in a playoff game that was resumed after being suspended by rain Tuesday night.
The Tritons held a 4-2 lead when play resumed and pulled away with four more runs late to secure the victory. S
hawano scored its two runs in the opening two innings, while Ava Wachtel, Jacey Cowden, Jaelyn Hietpas, and Riley Krueger each recorded hits for the Hawks.
Notre Dame managed just three hits in the game, but Shawano committed four errors that helped fuel the Tritons’ offense.
