WAUPACA COUNTY, WI – An 81-year-old man died following a crash Sunday evening in Waupaca County, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say deputies responded around 6:30 p.m. to County Highway QQ near Park Lane and King Road for a report of a single-vehicle crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates the driver had stopped at the intersection before continuing northbound on County QQ. Investigators say the vehicle then veered off the roadway, traveled through a residential yard, and struck a parked vehicle in a nearby business parking lot.
The driver was transported to a hospital in Waupaca, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office says the crash remains under investigation.
