Wittenberg-Birnamwood rolled to a 10-0 shutout victory over Weyauwega-Fremont on Thursday behind a dominant performance both at the plate and on the mound. The Chargers piled up 17 hits, including two doubles from Connor Meverden, who finished with three hits and five total bases. Oliver Fraaza added four total bases, while Zandyr Barke contributed three hits and stole three bases as Wittenberg-Birnamwood stayed aggressive on the basepaths with 11 stolen bases overall. On the mound, Barke and Fraaza combined to allow just two hits while striking out Weyauwega-Fremont hitters throughout the game.

Seymour 12, Green Bay East/West 2
Seymour completed the season sweep of Green Bay East/West with a dominant 12-2 victory Thursday in varsity baseball action. The Thunder jumped out early with three runs in the first inning and added four more in the third to take control of the game. Senior Carson Staffeldt led Seymour at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three triples, two RBIs, and a run scored. Seymour’s pitching staff limited the Devil Cats to just three hits, with Scott Sassman and Cayden Staffeldt combining for a strong effort on the mound. The Thunder improved to 15-6 on the season, while Green Bay East/West dropped to 1-17.

Xavier 3, Shawano 2
Xavier walked off Shawano 3-2 in eight innings Thursday in a tightly contested matchup between the Hawks. Xavier scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth after Shawano had tied the game with two runs in the fourth inning. Quinn Comerford delivered a strong outing on the mound for Xavier, striking out hitters while allowing just two runs across seven innings before Gavin Wiese closed out the win. Titan Milhaupt led Xavier offensively with a double and four total bases, while Shawano collected nine hits in the loss, including a double from Brody Schutt. The game remained scoreless late thanks to strong pitching from T.J. Johnson and Anderson Schmidt for Shawano before Xavier finally broke through in extras.

#15 Crivitz 5, Sturgeon Bay 0
Crivitz continued its strong season Thursday with a 5-0 shutout victory over Sturgeon Bay in nonconference baseball action. The Wolverines scored three runs in the opening inning and never looked back, improving to 18-2 on the year. Sophomore pitcher Colton Arpke dominated on the mound, allowing just one hit over seven innings while striking out five. Junior Jaxon Kroll led the Crivitz offense with two hits, two runs scored, and an RBI, while senior Jackson Schramm added a double and two RBIs. Sturgeon Bay fell to 6-17 despite coming off a split against Sevastopol earlier in the week.

Wrightstown 3, Algoma 2
Wrightstown edged Algoma 3-2 on Thursday in a tightly contested varsity baseball matchup. The Tigers scored twice in the second inning and added what proved to be the game-winning run in the sixth to snap a recent skid. Senior Michael Besel led Wrightstown offensively with two hits and a run scored, while Jacob Ver Haagh added an RBI double. On the mound, Jacob Miller struck out four over six strong innings before Liam Schaumberg closed the door in the seventh for the save. Algoma plated a run in the third and another in the seventh, but Wrightstown held on to improve to 8-12 on the season.
