Tuesday Baseball; Brehmer’s Big Day For Oconto Falls Lifts Panthers Within 2 Games Of North Eastern

Oconto Falls 10, Marinette 8

Oconto Falls Panthers rallied with a huge fifth inning to defeat Marinette Marines 10-8 Tuesday in varsity baseball action. Trailing 6-3 entering the fifth, the Panthers exploded for seven runs to take control of the game. Trace Brehmer led Oconto Falls offensively with a home run and four RBIs, while Landon Delfosse added two hits, two runs scored, and an RBI. Logan Berg earned the win on the mound, striking out five over seven innings. Marinette scored two runs in the sixth to close the gap, but Oconto Falls held on to secure the comeback victory.

Winneconne 4, Fox Valley Lutheran 3

Winneconne Wolves used a three-run fifth inning to edge Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes 4-3 Tuesday in varsity baseball action. After trailing 1-0 early, Winneconne tied the game in the fourth before taking the lead with three runs in the fifth inning. Lucky Pahl led the Wolves at the plate with three hits, including a double and an RBI, while Aaron Zimmer added two hits and drove in a run. Noah Bouras struck out five over 5.1 innings on the mound, and Colson Kleinschmidt closed the door with two strikeouts in relief. Fox Valley Lutheran scored twice in the sixth to make it close, but Winneconne held on for the victory.

Xavier 9, Shawano 2

Xavier pulled away early and defeated Shawano 9-2 Tuesday in varsity baseball action. Xavier scored six runs over the first three innings and finished with 13 hits in the win, led by Titan Milhaupt, who doubled, tripled, and totaled five bases. Frankie Cavaiani added a double, while Kyler Bleck helped spark the offense with three stolen bases and also earned the win on the mound, striking out hitters over 97 pitches. Shawano answered with two runs in the fourth inning and finished with 10 hits, including a double from Ayden Bystol and three total bases from Kristoffer Kallies. Dane Hodkiewicz, Brody Schutt, Kody Popelka, T.J. Johnson, and Tristan Lawe also collected hits for the Hawks in the loss.
