The Hortonville Girls were led by Jayla Rades in the sprints, taking fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.65 seconds and fifth in the 200-meter dash in a personal-best 26.37. Hannah Huza also had a big day for Hortonville, finishing runner-up in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best 58.99 seconds before placing third in the 800-meter run at 2:19.31.
The Polar Bears also showed strong depth in the distance events as Hailey Falbo finished seventh in the 1600-meter run and third in the 3200-meter run with a season-best 11:06.12. Ellie Young added an eighth-place finish in the 1600 while also taking seventh in the 800-meter run. Hortonville’s relay teams also impressed, highlighted by a third-place finish in the 4×200 relay and fifth-place finishes in both the 4×100 and 4×400 relays.
In the field events, Alena Lewis placed second in the pole vault by clearing 11 feet, while McKenna Mileski earned fourth in the long jump and fifth in the triple jump. Norah Eidahl added a third-place finish in the high jump.
