Annette E. “Nettie” Rosenberg, age 84 of Shawano, was reunited with her son, Randy, in heaven on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Annette Ellen Rosenberg was born on July 5th,1941 in New London, WI to Matthew Burton and Evelyn (Dougherty) Burton. She was a graduate of New London High School. Nettie met her husband, Maynard Rosenberg, on July 14th, 1958. They were united in marriage on June 20, 1959. They welcomed their son, Randy, on July 12, 1960, but he tragically lost his life in a single car accident on December 18, 1981, at the age of 21. Nettie worked for Morning Glory (AMPI) as an assistant in the payroll department, taking over as payroll manager later on in her career. She worked there for 33 years before retiring. Nettie enjoyed motorcycle rides with Maynard, and they traveled to every state except five in the United States. Maynard went to the FBI National Academy where he met other officers named Texas and Cal who had a group called Cal-Tex. They invited Maynard and Annette to join in their rides, meeting in a different state every year to tour that state. The couple did this every year for ten years. Following their retirement, Maynard and Annette bought a home on 33 acres, and Nettie tried her hand at raising beef. They started a new adventure 27 years ago, going to Arizona in the cold Wisconsin winter months and ended up buying a lot in Road Haven in Apache Junction. Nettie did a lot of hiking while there, and climbed to the top of Superstition Mountain, and Picket Post in Superior.
Nettie was a wonderful cook and made the best pickled fish. She also did a lot of canning. Nettie really enjoyed listening to music, especially anything by Vince Gill, and the song “In the Garden”. She always had a kind word to say to everyone.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Maynard Rosenberg; her siblings Connie, Barbara, Nathan, Dennis, and Duwayne; her in-laws, Nancy Zogleman, Ed (Nadine) Rosenberg, Jerry (Mary) Justman, Mike (Judy) Rosenberg, Rick (Julie) Rosenberg; and many nieces and nephews. Nettie is preceded in death by her son, Randy; her parents, Matthew and Evelyn Burton; her sister Joann; her brother Arlen; and her in-laws Carl Rosenberg, Dorothy Rosenberg, Bill Rosenberg, and Wayne Zogleman.
