BONDUEL BEARS- 19-2
The Bonduel Bears turned in an outstanding spring season, combining powerful offense with steady pitching to build a strong record and plenty of momentum.
Bonduel opened the year in dominant fashion, beginning with a convincing win over Amherst and continuing through April with big victories against Weyauwega-Fremont, Norway, Menominee Nation, Iola-Scandinavia, Kewaunee, and Manawa. The Bears regularly produced big innings and double-digit scoring performances while keeping opponents off the board in multiple shutouts.
After a late-April setback at Algoma, Bonduel responded in impressive fashion. The Bears ripped off a long winning stretch in May that included wins over Shiocton, Sevastopol, Weyauwega-Fremont, Marshall, and Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah. One of the highlights of the season came in a conference sweep of Wittenberg-Birnamwood, earning back-to-back wins over the Chargers in a key matchup.
The Bears continued their strong play with wins over Amherst and Menominee Nation, showing balance at the plate and in the circle throughout the spring. By mid-May, Bonduel had built an impressive 19-2 record, positioning themselves as one of the area’s top teams heading toward the postseason.
WITTENBERG-BIRNAMWOOD CHARGERS – 19-3
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers delivered a powerful and consistent spring season, stacking wins with explosive offense and steady pitching on their way to an impressive run.
The Chargers came out hot right away, opening the year with a strong winning streak that included big victories over Waupaca, East Dubuque, Orangeville, and Weyauwega-Fremont. The offense set the tone early, regularly producing double-digit run totals and keeping pressure on opposing defenses.
Through April, Wittenberg-Birnamwood continued to roll with convincing wins over St. Mary Catholic, Manawa, Amherst, Iola-Scandinavia, and Peshtigo. The Chargers also showed resilience in conference play, bouncing back quickly after tough losses to Bonduel and Almond-Bancroft to keep momentum moving forward.
May continued the strong stretch with dominant wins over Menominee, Manawa, Antigo, Auburndale, and Clintonville. The Chargers also proved they could win tight contests, highlighted by a one-run victory over Auburndale and a 12-10 battle at Iola-Scandinavia.
By mid-May, Wittenberg-Birnamwood had built a standout 19-3 record, showcasing a balanced lineup, strong run production, and the ability to respond after adversity. The Chargers head toward the postseason with momentum and confidence after an impressive spring campaign.
FOX VALLEY LUTHERAN- 19-3
The Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes put together a dominant spring, turning in an impressive run highlighted by strong pitching, explosive offense, and a long list of shutout victories.
FVL opened the scored portion of the schedule with back-to-back wins over Catholic Memorial and Menasha, then caught fire in April. The Foxes rolled through opponents with statement victories like 26-1 over Green Bay West, 16-0 over New London, 10-0 against Xavier, and 22-2 at Shawano. The team consistently controlled games from the circle and at the plate, piling up double-digit scoring performances and multiple shutouts.
The momentum continued into May with key wins over Appleton North, Kimberly, Xavier, and Kettle Moraine Lutheran. Along the way, the Foxes showed resilience in tight contests, including a 6-4 win at Neenah and a 7-3 victory over Kettle Moraine Lutheran.
By mid-May, Fox Valley Lutheran had compiled a standout 19-3 record, proving to be one of the area’s most consistent and difficult teams to beat. With dominant pitching, timely hitting, and steady improvement throughout the season, the Foxes built strong momentum heading into the postseason.
