SHAWANO, WI – The reopening of the Shawano Rec Center is getting closer, and Recreation and Aquatics Manager Tara Kelliher says noticeable progress continues to be made on the project.
Kelliher says crews are now working on finishing touches around the facility, including brickwork along the bottom of the building. She also says the racquetball area in the back of the facility is continuing to come together, calling it fun to watch as construction moves forward.
City officials say excitement continues to build as the updated rec center begins taking shape during the final stages of construction. Residents can find a full construction and project update on the City of Shawano website.
