Saturday Softball; Hawks Go 3-0 At Home Quad

Shawano 11, Waupaca 1

After surrendering a run in the first inning, Shawano quickly got the hit train going. Kadence Meyers went 3-4 at the plate, scoring 4 runs, Gracee Johnson also scored a run, Amiya O’ Kimosh went 2-3 with a RBI, Riley Kreuger also had 3 RBI’s on her day and Aiyanna O’ Kimosh also had a RBI and walked 4 times in the game resulting in a 5-inning mercy rule win for the Hawks.

Shawano 7, Rhinelander 1

In the 2nd game it was more of a pitchers dual in the beginning with each team going 3-up and 3-down in the first inning, the quick striking Hawks got it going in the bottom of the 2nd starting off with a wild pitch from Rhinelander. A 2 RBI triple from Jaelyn Heitpas, a RBI groundout from Ava Wachtel, a triple from Lily Bubolz, a Aiyanna O’ Kimosh RBI double, a Kadence Meyers RBI triple and a Jaycee Cowden RBI single all resulted in a 6 run bottom of the 2nd for the Hawks in which they cruised the rest of the way silencing the Hodag hitters.

Shawano 10, Lakeland 2

In the final game of the quad, Shawano again struck early, this time in the bottom of the third. It started off with back to back walks from Ava Wachtel and Lily Bubolz then a single from Aiyanna O’ Kimosh loaded the bases then a RBI single from Jaycee Cowden started the floodgates opening for Shawano. A wild pitch from Lakeland in the bottom of the 4th also helped Shawano score a run. All in all, Jaycee Cowden had a RBI, Kadence Meyers had a RBI, Gracee Johnson had a RBI, Riley Kreuger had 2 RBI’s and Amiyah O’ Kimosh had 3 RBI’s.
