BOWLER, WI – Students in the Bowler School District are gearing up for a weekend of music while also already looking ahead to next year’s homecoming festivities.
Members of the Bowler Student Council recently shared updates on WTCH’s The Breakfast Club, where senior Addison Pingel outlined plans for a special community performance event. Pingel said the weekend will feature a full lineup of music, including the school band and a combined performance bringing together middle school and high school students.
“School band and a combined middle school and high school performance,” Pingel said. “The event will include performances also from the middle school and high school choirs along with the band all coming together to honor longtime educator Alan Marquardt for his 50 years of dedication.”
The event is designed as a tribute to longtime Bowler educator Alan Marquardt who passed away in April, celebrating his five decades of commitment to students and the district’s music programs.
While preparing for that celebration, student leaders are also beginning the early stages of planning for homecoming. Junior representative Gracie said conversations are already underway among council members.
“So we’ve been talking about what we want for homecoming, so how we want to decorate it, where we want it,” Gracie said.
Student council members say gathering feedback from their peers will play a key role in shaping those plans. By involving students early in the process, leaders hope to create events that better reflect the interests and ideas of the entire student body.
