WAUPACA COUNTY, WI- A close call at a crash scene in Waupaca County has led to multiple charges for a central Wisconsin woman. Authorities say 41-year-old Stacey Anderson drove through a highway closure on U.S. Highway 10 in the Town of Weyauwega, nearly striking two deputies.
Investigators say Anderson followed closely behind an emergency vehicle and ignored traffic cones, flashing lights, and commands to stop. Deputies say the vehicle passed within just a few feet of them before eventually stopping, and Anderson later admitted her license was revoked. She now faces multiple charges, including felony counts of recklessly endangering safety, as the incident remains under investigation.
