SHAWANO, WI – A new giving group aimed at making a quick and meaningful impact is set to launch in Shawano County, as 100 Plus Men Who Care prepares for its first official meeting. Organizer Kai Jensen says the idea came together almost instantly after attending a meeting of 100 Plus Women Who Care of Shawano County, where he was struck by how simple and effective the model was. Jensen says the concept immediately resonated with him, offering a straightforward way for people to give back without a major time commitment.
Momentum has been building ahead of the group’s debut meeting, scheduled for Thursday evening at Stubborn Brothers Brewery, with the event beginning at 6 p.m. The format will mirror the women’s group, bringing members together once per quarter for roughly an hour to hear from local causes and collectively decide where to direct donations. Organizers say that simplicity is key, allowing busy individuals to contribute in a structured and efficient way.
Genie Otto, a leader with 100 Plus Women Who Care of Shawano County, says launching a men’s group is a natural next step in expanding community involvement and strengthening the impact of local philanthropy. With early interest already growing, organizers are hopeful the new group will quickly build momentum and provide meaningful support to nonprofits across Shawano County.
