Shawano Police stayed busy throughout the day, responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Officers handled several medical emergencies, including an early morning call where an 81-year-old man had fallen at a residence on South Cleveland Street. Later, crews were called to Prairie Street for a report of a diabetic woman feeling ill, and to Maurer Street where a woman was reported passed out on a corner.
Police also conducted multiple welfare checks, including one involving a young child reportedly alone near a bridge area. Officers located the child and ensured their safety.
Animal complaints were frequent, with reports of stray dogs running through neighborhoods and one incident involving a reported animal bite on East Green Bay Street.
In the afternoon and evening hours, officers responded to a disturbance on West Picnic Street, a suspicious person complaint involving unusual behavior near Green Bay Street, and a report of someone pounding on windows on East 5th Street.
Police also investigated a lewd behavior complaint at a South Main Street business, where a suspect was identified.
Other calls included a vehicle lockout, a triggered alarm at a local business, and a traffic hazard involving debris in the roadway.
Clintonville Police were active on April 28th, responding to a mix of routine patrols and community calls. The overnight hours saw officers conducting multiple business checks along North and South Main Street, along with an ambulance call on Industrial Avenue. Early morning activity included a traffic stop at Main Street and County Highway I and extra patrol on Anne Street.
Late in the morning, officers investigated a fraud complaint on North 12th Street and conducted a welfare check on West Campus Drive. Around the same time, a suspicious activity report came in from North Main Street.
Afternoon calls included disorderly conduct incidents on 20th Street and West Green Tree Road, along with several citizen assists on 6th Street and Olen Park Road.
Officers also responded to multiple suspicious person complaints on Brix Street and East Madison Street, as well as an ordinance violation on Brix.
The day wrapped up with an agency assist near East Main and Palmer Road.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a wide range of calls, including traffic incidents, welfare concerns, and multiple emergency calls.
Early in the day, deputies conducted inmate transports for court appearances, while also responding to traffic-related complaints. One notable incident involved a vehicle failing to stop for a school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop arm in Tigerton. A similar violation was reported later in the day in the Wittenberg area involving a semi.
Deputies also responded to a traffic hazard near Highways 22 and 117 in Cecil, where debris from a vehicle created a roadway issue.
A welfare check in Antigo drew attention after a man reportedly made statements about harming himself following a workplace issue. Authorities made contact and the situation was addressed.
Throughout the day, deputies provided security at the Shawano County Courthouse during multiple hearings and assisted with various community calls, including helping with traffic control for a tree trimming operation.
Several 911 calls were reported across the county, including open lines and unknown emergencies, all of which were investigated.
Evening hours brought multiple reckless driving complaints, including reports of a vehicle speeding and possibly impaired in the Wittenberg area, as well as additional incidents along Highway 29.
Deputies also assisted other law enforcement agencies, including departments in Minnesota and Brown County, and responded to a verbal domestic disturbance in Pulaski.
In Stockbridge-Munsee, tribal police reported an animal complaint and are investigating a gas drive-off theft.
