Shawano Police were busy throughout the day Monday, responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Officers made an early morning arrest at Memorial Park, where a man found sleeping under a pavilion was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
Police also investigated multiple alarm calls at a business on East Green Bay Street, which were ultimately determined to be non-threatening.
During the day, officers handled reports of property damage at Naberoood Park and a separate vandalism complaint on Estates Lane. An internet sex crime investigation was also opened on South Sawyer Street and remains active.
In the afternoon, police responded to a minor traffic incident at Waukechon Street and Dallman Lane, along with a disorderly conduct complaint at Walmart involving a man accused of harassing employees.
The evening hours brought a spike in activity. Officers were called to several disturbances, including multiple fights reported at the AmeriVu Inn & Suites, where one caller reported a woman being assaulted in the parking lot.
Police also responded to a welfare check at Kwik Trip involving a distressed teenage girl, and assisted emergency medical crews on South Bartlett Street.
Clintonville Police stayed active throughout the day Monday with a mix of patrols, traffic enforcement, and community calls. Officers conducted multiple extra patrols during the early morning hours on Commercial Avenue, 7th Street, and Anne Street. Traffic enforcement continued into the morning, including stops on North Main Street and at the intersection of Highway 156.
Police also assisted residents with a variety of calls, including a citizen assist on North 12th Street and a neighbor complaint on West First Street. Officers took part in community engagement efforts on 20th Street and provided assistance to another agency on South Clinton Avenue.
During the afternoon, officers responded to a property damage complaint on Elm Street and a traffic-related incident at Auto and 5th Streets. Emergency crews were also called to Robert Street for an ambulance assist.
Evening activity included additional traffic stops, parking enforcement on Wilson Street, and a suspicious person complaint on West Madison Street. Police also assisted another agency on Harriet Street and wrapped up the night with a citizen assist on Pansy Circle.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wide range of calls across the county Monday, including warrants, accidents, and public safety concerns.
The day began just after 1 a.m. with a warrant pickup out of Portage County, followed by a commercial alarm on South Warrington Avenue in Shawano. Deputies also handled an early morning 911 call on Moh He Con Nuck Road and assisted with an attempt to locate a subject connected to another agency.
Animal-related complaints were a recurring theme throughout the day. Deputies responded to reports of a stray pot-bellied pig damaging a garden in the Wittenberg area, loose dogs in Bonduel, and multiple injured deer calls later in the evening.
In Pulaski, deputies investigated an abandoned vehicle on County Highway C and responded to a 911 call shortly after. A welfare check on Highview Road involved concerns about an elderly man possibly experiencing a medical emergency.
Authorities also handled several court-related matters, including courthouse security details, a writ pickup, and a transport for a sentencing hearing.
During the evening hours, deputies responded to a property-damage crash near Highway 47 and Highway 156. No injuries were reported. Additional calls included an attempt to locate a driver suspected of operating while intoxicated and a disturbance reported at a Shawano motel involving a possible assault.
The night ended with deputies clearing a traffic hazard on Highway 29 near Rock Road.
In a separate incident, Stockbridge-Munsee Police are investigating a reckless driving complaint involving a manure truck speeding near a school on Schabow Street.
