Bay Port Girls Deliver Dominant All-Around Performance on the Track
Hailey Schroeder led the Pirates in the 100 meters with a runner-up finish (13.10), while London LaBlonde (3rd) and Trista Harju (4th) added to a dominant showing. LaBlonde returned in the 200 meters to claim a victory in 26.45, leading a strong group that also included Brooke Dorner (4th) and Allie Grzybowski (5th).
The Pirates completely controlled the 400 meters, sweeping the top four spots in an impressive display. Ava Roland led the charge with a first-place finish (1:03.10), followed closely by Dorner, Schroeder, and Harju to secure a clean sweep.
In the distance events, Onika Colassacco delivered a standout win in the 800 meters (2:22.96), while teammates Elly Rau and Melia Lemorande placed third and fourth respectively, further highlighting Bay Port’s depth.
Bay Port also excelled in the hurdles, with Adyson Riel winning the 100-meter hurdles (17.04), and the duo of Maggie Lindner and Camren Collar finishing second and third in the 300-meter hurdles.
In relay action, Bay Port’s 4×400 team of Lemorande, Naina Munagala, Johanna Brunette, and Lilly Van Vleet captured first place with a time of 4:40.09, continuing the team’s dominance on the track.
Field events added even more points to Bay Port’s total. Maya Myers won the pole vault (10’6”), while Madeline Chopp claimed the triple jump title (31’6.5”) and finished second in pole vault. Marie Walker (shot put runner-up, discus runner-up) and Eva Streckenbach also contributed strong finishes in the throwing events.
