The Pulaski Girls Track and Field team took 1st place at their own home relays Saturday.
Leading the way on the track was Olivia Sprangers, who captured the 200-meter title (25.98) and added a runner-up finish in the long jump (16-4). In the sprints, Faye Brunke and Addison Krueger both placed in the top six of the 100 meters, helping set the tone early.
Pulaski’s distance group had a dominant showing, led by Maggie Gerth, who swept the distance events with wins in both the 1600 (5:15.34) and 3200 (11:24.49). Teammate Addie Bruckert added a runner-up finish in the 1600, while Ellie Murphy placed third in the 800 and also contributed to a winning relay effort.
That relay success was a major highlight for the Red Raiders. Pulaski won the 4×200 relay, powered by Addison Krueger, Talyn Pratt, Faye Brunke, and Olivia Sprangers, and also claimed victory in the 4×800 relay behind Addie Bruckert, Maggie Gerth, Ellie Murphy, and Emerson Fabry. The team also placed second in the 4×100 and third in the 4×400 relays.
In the field events, Noelle Manning had a standout day, winning both the shot put (34-11.75) and discus (114-7) to sweep the throws. In the jumps, Lydia Gwidt earned a victory in the triple jump (31-9.75) and added a fifth-place finish in the long jump, while Rebecca Huisman cleared 5-0 to place fourth in the high jump.
Additional strong performances came from Sophia Lange, who placed third in the 300-meter hurdles, and Emerson Fabry, who finished second in the 400 meters and contributed to multiple relays.

Fox Valley Lutheran’s sprint group was led by senior Kaleb Williams, who placed 6th in the 200 meters (22.60) against a loaded field. He also contributed to the 4×400 relay team, which finished 4th overall (3:35.07), one of the team’s top relay results of the meet.
In the hurdles, the Foxes made a major impact. Jacoby Dobberstein delivered one of the top performances of the day, taking 2nd in the 300-meter hurdles (39.91). Teammate Grant Wolfrath also stood out, placing 5th in the 110-meter hurdles (15.85) and 4th in the 300-meter hurdles (41.13) to give FVL a strong one-two punch in the event group.
The distance crew also produced impressive results. Zachary Muenster led the way with a 5th-place finish in the 800 meters (2:00.03) and followed it up with a 7th-place finish in the 1600 meters (4:34.76). He was supported by Mason Dobberstein, who placed 15th in the 1600 (4:46.58) and 26th in the 800 (2:10.80).
In the field events, Fox Valley Lutheran found success in the jumps. Blessings Kapande cleared 5-10 to tie for 4th in the high jump, while also earning a 3rd-place finish in the long jump (22-0), one of the top individual finishes for the Foxes. Tyler Dequaine added a 4th-place finish in the long jump (21-10.5), and Jacoby Dobberstein continued his strong day with a 4th-place finish in the triple jump (42-7).
In the throws, Dustin Heyn led the way with a 12th-place finish in the shot put (46-6.75) and also added a solid mark in the discus.
