New London edged Amherst in a close non-conference girls soccer matchup Friday, pulling out a 3-2 win in a back-and-forth contest. New London Bulldogs struck first and held a narrow lead throughout much of the match, ultimately finishing with three goals and securing the win. Amherst answered with two goals of their own but came up just short in the final stretch. Wynter Krull led the Bulldogs offensively, scoring twice to pace the attack. Joselyn Eckhart added two assists, helping set up key scoring opportunities throughout the match. In goal, Lydia Young made two saves for New London, helping preserve the one-goal lead late.

Luxemburg-Casco delivered a dominant performance Friday, rolling past Denmark 6-0 in Northeastern Conference girls soccer action. The Spartans controlled the match from the opening whistle, building a 3-0 lead in the first half before adding three more goals after the break to secure the shutout win. Aaliyah Wallace led the offensive attack with two goals, while Kilee Barbiaux contributed an assist in the balanced scoring effort. Luxemburg-Casco finished with six total goals and three assists as multiple players contributed to the offense. Defensively, the Spartans were just as strong, limiting Denmark to minimal chances. Teagan Gunderson anchored the back line in goal, recording five saves to preserve the clean sheet.
