SHAWANO, WI – Sacred Heart Catholic Parish and School is celebrating a special milestone as a group of students recently received their First Holy Communion.
The sacrament marks an important step in each student’s faith journey, as they received the Eucharist for the first time. Parish leaders say the moment reflects months of preparation, prayer, and learning about Christ’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament.
The students were guided throughout the process by Father Edward Looney and Deacon James Lonick, along with teachers Paula Kundinger and Sarah Mente, who helped lead their faith formation.
Those receiving First Holy Communion include Abel Mathwich, Alfred Gueths, Logan Erickson, Milo Gilling, Olivia Kast, Ryder Mathews, Bryson Kurtz, Owen Rouse, McCoy Miller, Freya Mattrich, Joseph McDougal, Aliyah Redmerski, Rylea Cumberland, Ava Carroll, Elli Farley, Katie Fowler-Doxtator, Wyatt Zoellner, Charlie Young, Carmen Grignon, Lainey Grignon, and Oliver Spaulding.
Parish officials extended their congratulations to the students and their families, calling the occasion a meaningful and joyful step in their continued growth in faith.
