NEW LONDON, WI – A packed house filled Crystal Falls on April 9th as the New London Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Awards Banquet, drawing more than 350 attendees for a night focused on celebrating the people and organizations that help drive the community forward.
This year’s event, themed “Fab Fifties,” brought a lively and nostalgic atmosphere as local business leaders, community members, and supporters gathered to recognize outstanding contributions across a wide range of areas. The evening highlighted not only business success, but also community involvement, innovation, and service.
One of the standout moments of the night came during the dessert auction, which raised more than $5,600 to support New London senior scholarships. Organizers say the strong participation reflects the community’s ongoing commitment to investing in local students and their futures.
The banquet also served as a platform to honor this year’s award recipients. Chad Hoerth was recognized with the Chamber Service Award, while Cline & Hanson Funeral Home received the Quality of Life Award. The May Festival was honored with the Community Service Award, and Hilker Warehousing earned the Beautification Award. Harvey’s Restaurant was named New Business of the Year, Macaport received the Excellence in Innovation Award, Brian Mathu was recognized as Educator of the Year, and Walker Family Veterinary Hospital took home the Business of the Year honor.
In addition to the Chamber awards, the Mayor presented Community Enhancement Awards to several individuals and organizations making a significant local impact. Those recipients included Stalker Sports Floors, Northland Electrical Services, Skeeter Emergency Vehicles and EJ Metals, New London Clipper American Legion Baseball Post 263, Lynn Tank, Tom Schmude, and Amazing Low Prices.
Chamber officials say the event continues to showcase the strength, collaboration, and pride within the New London community, with this year’s turnout and support underscoring the area’s commitment to growth and connection.
