Jana S. Dreier, age 84 of Shawano, passed away Monday evening, March 30, 2026, following a
brave battle with cancer.
Jana was born in Sioux City, Iowa on October 9, 1941, the daughter of the late Harold and Nellie
(Goede) Schweppe. She moved to Shawano at an early age and attended Shawano schools,
graduating with the Class of 1959. Following high school, Jana attended UW-Madison and later
earned her B.S. from UW-Oshkosh where she majored in English and minored in Spanish and
History.
On June 24, 1961, Jana was united in marriage to Donald L. Dreier at Peace United Church of
Christ in Shawano. Don preceded her in death on April 18, 2022. Jana taught at Bonduel High
School for nine years. In 1972, Don and Jana started Shawano Power Sports which Jana operated
until 2001. She then went to work with her children at Dreier Pharmacy until her death.
Jana is a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano. She was the matriarch of the
Dreier family with a strong passion for working. Jana loved spending time with her children and
grandchildren and was enormously proud of their academic achievements. She also enjoyed
cheering them on in their extracurricular activities. Jana loved golfing, traveling, playing bridge
and reading. She was a dedicated fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include her son, Tim (Paige) Dreier and their daughters, Avery, Riley, and Anna, of
Shawano; her daughters, Jessica (Bart) Huntington and their son Cole (Ashley) Huntington, of
Shawano, and Jenny (Ray) St. Louis, and their children, Joshua, Aaron (Larissa), and their son,
Theodore, and Samantha, all of Appleton.
A funeral service for Jana Dreier will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 1:30 pm at the First
Presbyterian Church of Shawano. Pastor Uriah Williams and Pastor Gail Irwin will officiate.
Visitation will begin at the church at 10:30 am and continue until the time of service. Private
family burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
In lieu of flowers and plants the family requests memorials in Jana’s name to the Shawano
County Library, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for Acute Myeloid Leukemia Research,
the Shawano Athletic Booster Club, or the Shawano County Historical Society.
