Thunder Survive Test From BlueJays, Tigers Stay Unbeaten, Other Area Action
Seymour 62, Menasha 54
Undefeated Seymour stayed perfect Tuesday night, pulling away for a 62–54 win over Menasha in a competitive matchup.
Seymour Community High School used a strong first half to build a lead, going up 39–31 at the break, and matched Menasha bucket-for-bucket in the second half to seal the victory.
Junior Isaac Feske led the Thunder with 22 points on an efficient 9-of-13 shooting night, while senior Xavier Salzman added 14 points and dished out seven assists. Senior Kyler Marks posted a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds to anchor the inside game.
Menasha kept things close after halftime, scoring 23 points in the second half, but Seymour’s rebounding edge and balanced scoring proved to be the difference.
With the win, Seymour improves to 22–0 on the season and continues to strengthen its postseason résumé, while Menasha falls to 8–15.
Tigerton 77, Suring 55
Undefeated Tigerton kept its perfect season intact Tuesday night, rolling past Suring 77–55 behind a big offensive performance.
Tigerton High School built a 31–21 halftime lead and pulled away after the break with a 46-point second half to take control of the matchup.
Junior James Brady powered the Tigers with 28 points and 17 rebounds, dominating on the interior. Senior Sam Anheuser added 20 points and five assists, while junior Izaiah Lederhaus chipped in 10 points and made an impact defensively with seven steals.
Tigerton’s balanced scoring, rebounding edge, and active defense helped fuel the runaway win.
With the victory, Tigerton moves to 22–0, while Suring drops to 12–8 on the season.
New London 94, Shawano 52
The three ball was falling for the New London Bulldogs, as they hit 14 on the night, on their way to a convincing 94-52 win over Shawano. Ryan Dalhoe led the Bulldogs with 23 points. New London also got 17 from Joseph Daily, 14 from Parker Heise and 13 from Brett Marquardt. Shawano was led by 15 from Jack Nordin and 14 from Will Verkuilen.
