Shawano police responded to a wide range of calls, keeping officers busy across the city. Early in the morning, police were called to an apartment complex on East Lieg Avenue for a reported disturbance involving a man and a woman yelling. Officers arrived and resolved the situation without further incident.
Later in the morning, officers assisted a woman who was locked out of her apartment on East Richmond Street while her children were inside. Police helped gain entry safely, and no injuries were reported.
Police also investigated a commercial alarm at the Dairy Queen on East Green Bay Street. Officers found no signs of a burglary after the alarm was triggered multiple times.
Throughout the day, officers handled welfare checks, reports of reckless driving, lost and recovered property, and a reported scam. In the evening, police and EMS responded to a medical emergency on Hill Street, and the individual involved was transported for treatment.
Late-night calls included disorderly conduct, animal complaints, and a traffic incident involving property damage.
Clintonville police stayed active responding to a variety of calls across the city. Officers began the early morning with extra patrols along West Green Tree Road, followed by multiple business checks on South Main Street. During one of those checks, police investigated a report of suspicious activity, but no further problems were reported.
Later in the morning, additional extra patrols were conducted on Anne Street, South Madison Street, and Pine Street as part of routine enforcement and community presence.
In the afternoon, Clintonville police provided mutual aid to another agency on Lakeshore Road. Officers also responded to a 9-1-1 misdial on West Morning Glory Drive, confirming there was no emergency.
In the evening, police checked on a suspicious vehicle near McKinley Avenue and East 14th Street. The night wrapped up with an ambulance call on West Morning Glory Drive.
Shawano County sheriff’s deputies handled more than twenty calls across the county on Wednesday, February 5th, responding to everything from domestic incidents to traffic crashes and public safety concerns.
The day began early with a reported domestic disturbance along Lake Drive in the Town of Wescott, and assisted Shawano Police with a disturbance at an apartment complex on East Lieg Avenue in Shawano. Deputies were able to respond and address both situations.
Highway 29 saw several incidents throughout the morning, including multiple traffic crashes in the Towns of Lessor, Leopolis and Maple Grove. Two of those crashes involved reported injuries, and deputies assisted motorists and cleared the scenes.
Later in the morning, deputies investigated a littering complaint near Pulaski and checked on a disabled vehicle along Highway 29 near Maple Avenue. Transport duties were also handled throughout the day, including work-release and jail transfers.
In the afternoon, deputies conducted a welfare check in the Village of Gresham and later picked up an individual on a warrant in coordination with Brown County authorities. Animal-related calls and traffic violations were also reported during the evening hours.
The night ended with deputies responding to a bail jumping incident on Lake Drive, a suspicious vehicle report in the Village of Tigerton, and a pedestrian complaint in the City of Shawano.
Also on Wednesday, the Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department responded to a welfare check in the Village of Gresham, which was resolved without incident.
