Shawano Police were called to a trespassing complaint on South Lincoln Street just after one-o’clock. Police made contact and took action, with multiple units clearing the scene within about 25 minutes.
Later in the morning, officers responded to an animal problem at the Shawano Public Library on South Sawyer Street. The situation was handled without incident.
During the afternoon, police assisted Shawano County Human Services with a welfare check on South Union Street. Officers reported the situation was addressed quickly.
In the early evening, police responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver near the intersection of Elizabeth and Main Streets. The OWI investigation kept officers on scene for more than two hours.
That evening, officers also responded to an alarm at a North Main Street dental office. Police confirmed the building was secure.
Overnight, officers handled additional welfare checks, assisted Human Services with a family matter on Engel Drive, and responded to a reported disturbance at an apartment complex on East Lieg Avenue involving a verbal altercation.
Clintonville police handled a steady mix of calls with activity ranging from patrols to medical and traffic incidents.
Officers began the early morning with extra patrols, including a school patrol on South Main Street just before one a.m. A 9-1-1 call was also reported on South Main Street shortly after one-thirty, though no additional details were released.
Police conducted multiple business checks along South Main Street. Additional extra patrols were logged later in the morning on Anne Street, South Madison Street, and Pine Street.
Emergency medical crews were dispatched to McKinley Avenue just after seven a.m., followed by a disabled vehicle reported at North Clinton Avenue and Pearl Street. Another ambulance call came in late morning on North Clinton Avenue.
Police also responded to a welfare check on Robert Street in the early afternoon, and animal complaints on West Madison Street and West Green Tree Road later in the day.
Evening activity included traffic stops on Eighth Street and South Clinton Avenue, and on West Madison Street, along with an agency assist. The day concluded with a 9-1-1 call reported on North Clinton Avenue shortly after nine-twenty.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to more than thirty calls for service on Wednesday, February fourth, covering everything from traffic enforcement to medical assists and welfare checks across the county.
Deputies began the early morning hours with a traffic stop near Lake Drive and North Airport Road, followed by a traffic hazard on Highway Forty-Five near County Highway G-G in Tigerton, where a deer was reported in the roadway and later removed.
Several calls involved suspicious activity and vehicle concerns, including a suspicious vehicle in the Gillett area and multiple vehicle lockouts, some involving running vehicles. Deputies also handled a number of reckless driving complaints throughout the day along Highways Twenty-Nine and Forty-Five.
Welfare checks made up a significant portion of the day’s calls, including reports of juveniles in distress, concerns for unattended vehicles, and requests for assistance with family situations. Emergency responders were also assisted on multiple medical calls, including injuries and individuals who had passed out and struck their head.
Law enforcement activity included warrant pickups and transports involving the Shawano County Jail and the Menominee Tribal Jail. Deputies also investigated information reports and suspicious circumstances in several communities.
Several 9-1-1 calls were logged during the afternoon and evening, some of which were determined to be abandoned or accidental. The day concluded with a reported scam in the Wittenberg area.
