Police in Shawano stayed busy Tuesday responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Officers were called out just before 1 a.m. to a suspicious vehicle parked outside the Taco Bell on East Green Bay Street after the restaurant had closed. The vehicle was checked, and the situation was resolved without incident.
Several medical calls kept officers assisting ambulance crews throughout the morning and afternoon, including reports of difficulty breathing, falls, and medical alarms at homes and care facilities around the city.
Police also investigated a theft reported at the Family Dollar on South Main Street, where propane tanks were stolen from outside the store late Monday night. The suspect was described as wearing a hood and riding a bicycle.
Other calls included welfare checks requested by schools and residents, lockouts at local businesses, a juvenile complaint at Hillcrest Primary School, and a drug complaint at Shawano Middle School.
No major injuries were reported, and investigations into several incidents remain ongoing.
Clintonville Police responded to a full slate of calls Tuesday, ranging from medical emergencies to traffic enforcement and neighborhood patrols.
Officers were dispatched to an ambulance call on Spring Street just after 3:30 Tuesday morning. No further details on that incident have been released.
Throughout the early morning hours, police conducted multiple business checks on Industrial Avenue, Bennett Street, and Sixth Street as part of routine overnight patrols.
Extra patrols were also logged in several residential areas, including Anne Street, South Madison Street, Pine Street, 20th Street, and West Green Tree Road, aimed at increasing visibility and addressing community concerns.
Later in the morning, officers handled a truancy complaint on 20th Street and completed welfare checks on Auto Street and Seventh Street.
Traffic enforcement continued into the afternoon and evening with stops reported near Highway 156 and Klemp Road, North 12th and West 14th Streets, and on Ginger Spur.
Additional calls included a citizen assist on Industrial Avenue, a harassment complaint on Wilson Street, a suspicious activity report on 15th Street, and an ordinance violation on Stewart Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a busy Tuesday with calls ranging from trespassing and theft to traffic hazards and animal complaints across the county.
Deputies began the morning investigating a trespassing report in the Town of Aniwa, where a man was reportedly seen on surveillance cameras at a residence he had no permission to be on. That incident remains under review. Deputies also provided courthouse security throughout the morning for scheduled hearings in Shawano.
Several disabled vehicles were reported during the day, including along Highway 29 and county roads K and ZZ. No injuries were reported in those incidents. A non-reportable traffic crash near Bowler involved an unoccupied vehicle found in a ditch.
Deputies also responded to a traffic violation near Birnamwood after a driver allegedly passed a stopped school bus while children were waiting to board. Later in the afternoon, a reckless driving complaint was reported near Highway 29 and County Road F.
Other calls included a theft at a business in Bowler, a disturbance in Wittenberg, a noise complaint in Krakow, and multiple traffic hazards involving debris and a deer carcass on county highways. Late Tuesday night, deputies responded to an animal problem near Shawano, where an injured deer had to be dispatched.
Meanwhile, Stockbridge-Munsee Police handled multiple 9-1-1 calls Tuesday afternoon near North Star Casino, along with a traffic crash involving an animal on School House Road. No serious injuries were reported.
