Nordin becomes a Ms Basketball Semifinalist and McDonald’s All-American Nominee
Shawano High School senior Leah Nordin has earned national recognition as a nominee for the McDonald’s All-American Girls Basketball Game.
The nomination placed Nordin among a select group of high school basketball players from across the country considered for one of the sport’s highest honors. Each year, hundreds of athletes are nominated nationwide, with only 24 girls ultimately selected to play in the nationally televised all-star game.
Nordin was not among those selected for the final roster, but being named a nominee reflects recognition from coaches, athletic associations, and basketball evaluators at the national level.
The honor highlights Nordin’s impact on the court and identifies her as a college-level prospect, with recognition extending well beyond the local and state level.
Nordin’s nomination adds to a standout career at Shawano, where she has been a key contributor and leader for the Hawks.
In addition, Nordin was named a Semifinalist for the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Ms. Basketball.
