Born on November 18, 1946, in New London, Wisconsin, Jane lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ronald Lorge; her sons Randy (Dawn) Lorge, Rodney Lorge, and James (Kari) Lorge; and her daughter Jennifer and her significant other Chris Laabs. Jane was a proud grandmother to Brett (Samantha) Lorge, Gabi Lorge, Anderson Lorge, Ethan Janusheske, Ryanne Janusheske, Charlyee Janusheske, Blake Laabs and Bailey Laabs. Her joy extended to the next generation with the arrival of her great-grandson Clark Lorge.
Jane’s family roots were deep and strong. She is survived by her brothers Dan (Rachel) Neely, Tom (Barb) Neely, John (Connie) Neely, and Tim Neely. She also shared close bonds with in-laws Ione Nehring, Neil Lorge, Anita Seering Lorge (Mary Ellen), and Peter (Karla) Lorge.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ellen; her stillborn daughter Jill; sisters Geraldine and Mary Ellen; sisters-in-law Percy and Bonnie; and brother-in-law Gary.
Those who knew Jane will remember her as a loving and caring person who gave the greatest hugs—embraces that conveyed comfort beyond words. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome; she greeted each person as a friend. Her affection extended to her many nieces and nephews whom she cherished deeply.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the ThedaCare Cancer Center and Hospice Team Members for their compassionate care during Jane’s final journey. In true Jane fashion—full of grace and gratitude—we are sure she is tipping an Old Fashioned at the Pearly Gates, decked out in her favorite Green and Gold, in thanks to them all. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire kindness in all whose lives she touched.
