SHAWANO, WI – Shawano residents are being reminded that property tax payments are due, with the first deadline set for January 31st.
City Clerk Lesley Nemetz says residents have the option to pay their taxes in full by the end of the month. Those who prefer not to pay the entire bill at once can split their payments into three installments, due in January, April, and July.
Because January 31st falls on a Saturday this year, Nemetz says residents will still be able to make their payments on the following Monday. She notes that people should not worry if they were planning to pay at the last minute.
Nemetz adds that the city typically sees a steady mix of residents paying in full and others choosing the installment plan each year.
