MADISON, WI- Registration is now open for the Run for the Trees: Happy Little 5K, a virtual race supporting forest health in Wisconsin. The Bob Ross–inspired event allows participants to complete a 5K between April 18th and 26th by walking, running, biking, or using any mobility device at a location of their choice. A portion of the $36 registration fee will go toward tree planting and forest health efforts in Wisconsin state parks and forests. Participants will receive a race shirt, commemorative bib, finisher’s medal, and sticker, with packets shipping in March. Officials say the event celebrates Earth Day and Arbor Day while encouraging people of all ages to get outside and support conservation efforts.
